Understanding End Water Quality in Hospitals and Other Large Buildings

As part of its monthly web series on small systems issues, EPA’s Office of Research & Development invites you to attend a one hour web event on Legionella.

DATE:  Tuesday, April 28, 2015

TIME:   2:00-3:00PM (eastern)

REGISTER:  https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/2867776279925225729

This webinar will focus in two areas:

  •  Use and effectiveness of various available technologies for the treatment and control of Legionella

This discussion will provide a brief overview of EPA’s draft “Legionella Current Knowledge on Treatment Technologies” which will characterize the current body of knowledge regarding the use and effectiveness of various available technologies.  The document could assist primacy agencies, affected facilities, and system operators in their decision making process.

  • Water quality issues in large buildings and emerging treatment technologies for premise plumbing-related pathogens

This discussion focuses on the latest data for waterborne disease which indicates that premise plumbing-related outbreaks are increasing across the US.  The goal is to provide information to building owners on how water quality changes as it moves through complex premise plumbing systems.

More information about this web training can be found at the registration web link noted above.
