EPA Publishes New FedFUNDS Tool

FedFUNDS (Federal Funding for Utilities – Water/Wastewater – in National Disasters) is the latest in EPA’s suite of tools designed to help utilities be better prepared and more capable to respond and recover should a disaster strike.   This is a very helpful resource for smaller communities that may not be aware of the range of funding choices – and funding requirements – that they can use to help get back up and running after a crisis occurs.

FedFUNDS looks at the ways that water utilities can identify funding sources, know how to describe and document activities that may be eligible for Federal funding assistance, learn about FEMA, USDA, and EPA funding programs, and take advantage of training and funding mentor opportunities dedicated to utility needs.

You may learn more about FedFUNDS on EPA’s website at: http://water.epa.gov/infrastructure/watersecurity/funding/fedfunds/index.cfm.
