EPA Webinar: Training and Technical Assistance for Small Water Systems

Through Congressional direction, EPA has awarded a total of $15 million in competitive grants to support the training and technical assistance needs of small drinking water systems and tribal systems.  On September 5, EPA is hosting a webinar for the awardees – NRWA, RCAP, NM Environmental Finance Center, and the Texas Engineering Extension Service – to share their respective visions on how to turn those funds into effective training, technical assistance, and support for drinking water systems, private wells, and decentralized wastewater systems.

DATE:     Wednesday, September 5, 2012

TIME:      12:30 – 2:00pm (eastern time)

The intended audiences for this event are state drinking water program administrators and staff – particularly those engaged with small system needs and concerns – and EPA Regional staff who work with states and tribes on related capacity development and operator certification training and technical assistance programs.

Please join EPA and these grantees to learn more about each organization’s approach, how they plan to coordinate with state programs, how these efforts can support and improve system technical, managerial, and financial capacity, and how their efforts will help to achieve our common goal of public health protection.  The attached flyer offers more details on this important event.
